Check before use
- Removing the background first and then reducing it to final size simplifies the workflow.
- The file size and pixel size of a photo are different values.
- Precise background removal is recommended for PC use as it requires a lot of downloads and memory.
Prepare product photos with transparent backgrounds
Select a photo and run background removal, then inspect the edges and the subject closely. Increasing cleanup can also remove fine details, so adjust gradually. Save a transparent PNG and inspect it against both light and dark backgrounds to spot remaining edges.
Choose image dimensions and format
Reducing a 2,000 × 1,000 pixel photo to 1,000 pixels wide produces a 1,000 × 500 result when the aspect ratio is preserved. Use PNG or WebP for transparency. Otherwise, compare JPEG and WebP results. The same quality number does not mean equal file sizes or visual quality across formats.
Check file size and color
Compare file sizes and inspect text and outlines for blur. Converting to PNG does not necessarily reduce file size. The color converter changes HEX, RGB and HSL representations; it does not correct display differences or print colors. Keep the original photo and color values.

- Image resizer — Reduce photo size and save as WebP, JPEG, or PNG.
