How to merge and split PDF: Change page order and extract necessary pages

Merge multiple PDF files into one

1. Select 2 to 10 files in Combine PDF.
2. Check the order of files displayed on the screen and change them with the Up and Down buttons.
3. Run PDF Merge and download the results.
4. Check the last and first pages of document boundaries and the total number of pages.

The order of pages in the file is not changed. Placing a 2-page document after a 3-page document results in a total of 5 pages. If one input file is not processed, the task will fail instead of silently skipping that file.

Extract only necessary pages and change order

In PDF Split/Page Extraction, entering 1,3-5 selects the first page and the third to fifth pages. If you enter 5,1-2, the order is 5·1·2. If you use the same number multiple times, it will only be used once, at the first occurrence. An empty input selects the entire page.

The numbers are the page order of the PDF file. Page numbers may differ from the printed page due to the cover or table of contents. Non-existent numbers, reverse range 5-3, negative numbers or decimals cannot be used. If you select Extract selected pages as a single PDF in the save method, you will receive results grouped in order.

Divide PDF page by page and receive as ZIP

If you change the saving method to split page by page and save as ZIP, an independent PDF is created for each selected page. page-003.pdf refers to the third page of the original. You can download individual results or the entire ZIP. If the ZIP program displays files by name, they may look different from the extraction input order, so check the original page number included in the file name.

Fonts or resources may be included repeatedly in each file, so the total size of the split result may be larger than the original. This tool does not reduce PDF size or recompress images.

Will the forms, signatures, and bookmarks remain the same?

Encrypted documents and documents with AcroForm input forms or electronic signature fields will not be processed. The regular PDF page copy feature should not be used as a signature preservation or form editing tool. Document-level bookmarks, tags, internal links, etc. are not guaranteed to be preserved, so for tasks that must meet accessibility and document archiving standards, verify the results with a dedicated tool.

20 MiB per file, 50 MiB total, up to 150 pages per PDF, with a combined result of up to 150 pages. The file will be processed from the current browser memory and the working state will be lost when you refresh. Interruptions are applied at possible processing boundaries and may not end immediately during the read/store phase of large files.
